The head office of JAKALE Film is located in Kassel (Northern Hessen). Centrally located in Germany and with three federal states in the immediate vicinity, the former Film City as a location offers many opportunities for modern productions. A second branch in East Westphalia will be opened in the near future.
Initially, the productions were limited to short films and medium-length feature films such as “Zweimal über den Horizont (OT)” (2012) and “Destruction of Silence” (2013), both of which play during the Second World War. With “EneMe” is the first movie project in the starting blocks. Further follow-up projects are already in planning.
Frank Büsching joined the company in 2016 as a shareholder and producer which has been growing steadily ever since. JAKALE Film currently has 16 employees as well as various regional and national partners.
JAKALE Film 2001 was founded by filmmaker and director Jakob Gisik and his former business partner Alexej Solochin. The name of the company is made up of the first names Jakob and Alexej. Despite the professional separation of the two partners in 2002, Gisik decided to continue the company name.
